What about NLP?

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming; it is a way of thinking about how the world works, how we perceive it and identifying successful patterns of behaviour. The techniques can help you to re-programme problematic behaviours, change habits, communicate better and focus on positive goals; it can help you to change your internal thoughts and processes so that you start working toward positive outcomes.

NLP supposes that all behaviour has a structure and that that structure can be changed. This is very helpful to know; it means that we don't have to be stuck with the way things are as we can change them, bad habits can be removed and replaced by new behaviour. NLP can help us to see things from a different perspective and give our brains a new direction in which to focus by presenting desired alternatives to our present state.

NLP techniques and hypnotherapy are therapies in their own right and can be used in isolation however, the combination of NLP and hypnotherapy is a powerful one as using NLP whilst in the trance state allows the therapist access to the subconscious mind. This produces faster results and longer lasting change than either therapy practised in isolation.
